YOUR ROLE
Responsibilities
Safety Officer required for an outstanding organisation based in based in North West Rustenburg with ;
o Grade 12 or N3
o Medical fit
o Samtrac
o Comsoc 1 and 2 or equivalent HSE qualification
o Valid Trade Test
o Valid driver’s licence Code 08 or 10
o Min 3 years’ experience in the mining industry
o Knowledge of trackless mining machines
o In depth knowledge of MHSA
o Risk assessment and hard identifications
o Analytical and investigative skills
o Trong interpersonal communication
o Ability to work independently
o Conduct regular inspections and audits
o Ensure compliance with mine health and safety regulations
o Compliance
o SOPs
o Investigate incidents
o Assist in the development and review of TMM specific risk assessment
o Safety meetings
o Toolbox talks
o Maintain accurate safety records, inspections reports and risk registers
o Provide safety training and induction to new employees
o Site based at the mine and exposure to underground or open pit environments
