Industrial Chemist

Well established company based in Midrand requires a Development Chemist with;

• Grade 12 • BSc or equivalent Qualification Chemistry, Polymer Science or • 8 – 15 years’ experience in industrial / proactive coatings • Proven experience with epoxies, polyurethanes, zinc-rich coatings, high performance linings • Knowledge of ISO, ASTM, AMP/NACE and related industry standards • Experience in new product development and formation transfer / localisation • Coating performance testing and quality control • Industrial Coatings • Lead raw material qualifications, substitution and cost reduction products • Conduct laboratory testing • Product validation • QC support • Provide technical support to manufacturing, quality and commercial teams. • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting • Experience with multinational or global R&D teams • Able to manage multiple projects
